The reason I do this job is because I care and I want to help people achieve their financial freedom. I enjoy meeting new people and getting to know my clients, after all we each have our own personal goals in life.My main areas of expertise are Retirement Planning, both pre and post retirement, and Investment Planning (including taxation & trusts*). I have a passion for helping clients plan for all eventualities and have used Cash Flow Planning to help with that since 2008, even helping my own parents with their retirement a decade ago. Cash Flow planning helps us to understand what we can achieve with our current finances, and how we can resolve any gaps.I joined HJP in 2017 but began my financial services career in 1997 working for Sun Life. I started in Guildford as a consultant to the Adviser sector then moved to London and homeworking from the day of my wedding in 2008 until my move to HJP in 2017. I spent 20 years providing product and technical assistance to Financial Advisers in and around Surrey, Sussex and Central London. I remained at Sun Life through various company transitions including becoming a part of part of the Elevate platform in 2010I became a member of the Personal Finance Society and Chartered Insurance Institute in 2012 and more recently in 2021 gained Chartered Financial Planner status. I am now studying and working towards becoming a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, watch this space!Outside of HJP, I live in Chaldon with my wife and 2 children. I love the fresh air and outdoor life. When I am not at work, you’ll find me cycling through the Surrey Hills, enjoying (watching and occasionally participating in) Motor Sport and making the most of time in the garden. Away from Family life my other passion is anything to do with cars! I spend the occasional weekend at Brands Hatch, specifically to watch the touring cars.
