Served as the principal advisor to the commanding officer for all information security matters. Ensured that CYBERSECURITY program requirements were met by implementing the risk management program required by the DON. Verified that appropriate security tests were conducted and documented. Ensured that the accreditation support documentation was developed and maintained and verified that each IS met security specifications for an acceptable level of risk, along with reviewing the accreditation plan and reaccreditation activities. Ensured that proposed system changes were reviewed, and that implemented system modifications did not adversely impact the security of the system. Ensured that IS users' activities were monitored to verify compliance with security policies and procedures. Coordinated regularly with Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO) and Network Security Officers (NSO), who provided system-level CYBERSECURITY support within the confines of my area of responsibility. Maintained an Activity CYBERSECURITY Plan (CSP) and ensured the development of System Security Plans (SSP) for systems that contained sensitive information.
