I am managing two projects in the Strategic Monitoring Review for the Environment Agency. I am helping change the business governance for how we commission the monitoring and evidence needs for water quality and quantity in England. My main focus now is embedding business change and securing buy-in from senior managers and Directors.

I am currently working on the Strategic Monitoring Review which is an 18 month change programme to:- Establish clear governance of the water monitoring business- Operate consistent information gathering processes- Work more closely with partners and adopt innovative technologies- Deliver greater value for monitoring information to ourselves and our stakeholdersMy main areas of focus are: - Process Mapping- Baseline Analysis- Benefits Mapping, Analysis and Realisation- Programme Governance & Influencing- Building Networks of People

I designed and landed the portfolio reporting for over 20 change programmes which gives me an overview of how the stages of change impact the business. I am responsible for delivering the analytical products needed to support the organisational objectives for change. I always seek out and incorporate stakeholder feedback, tailoring my approaches to make the process manageable, appropriate and engaging.To improve the way we present the overview of change, I use my knowledge of data and visualisation to design a suite of graphics to show the complex picture of change for multiple audiences. Using my project management experience I manage the risk register for the team and regularly contribute to the change portfolio and corporate risk registers.I am also drafting Change Delivery Plan for 2017/2018 which is a huge opportunity and responsibility as it will help shape decisions at the corporate level.

I am currently managing the creation of the Project Application and Funding Service project which is a GDS IT project. The service will sit on Gov.uk and will help allocate the Environment Agency’s 2.3bn of funding for flood schemes. This is an Agile project and I work with an agile team but the governance fits within the PRINCE2/waterfall framework.My role includes project planning, creation of budgets, management of risks issues and dependencies. I own the business case and dependencies and manage change in scope, costs and time for the project.

My current role is focusing on improving the Data Quality of our Environmental Data. I am leading on preparing data quality action plans for Flood and Coastal Risk Management, and Regulated Industry. This involves being proactive and reaching out to data custodians, influencing them to bring them on board with good data practice and working with them to understand their need for good data. I aid the custodians in delivering good data practice which delivers real outcomes for the business and our stakeholders. I am also the lead in the Evidence Directorate for designing our response to a data quality incident. I want to be able to support custodians and make them aware of the risks of poor data enable to them to think further than just their data; to think of the wider business and other stakeholders. If there is any preparation or mitigation that can be done in the early stages of the incident cycle then this work will identify those. I am drawing on my years of experience working in various incident roles and understanding of how we operate in an incident to design the framework for a data custodians to work to. I am in the early stages and have just finished the first draft, I look forward to sharing it with my network of colleagues and also incident management professionals.

I worked in the national Mapping & Modelling team for the Environment Agency. I helped shape policy on Flood and Coastal Risk Management and deliver real outcomes for the environment. I specialised in managing hydrological projects and the National Flood Risk Assessment (NaFRA).

I work in the team team who manage the licensing and reuse the intellectual property for the Environment Agency.This involves preparing contracts with suppliers and licensees.My role aims to facilitate the use of intellectual property in tailored products and services for end users.
