The role was essentially a Salesman/Pitchman for a single product. The role required demonstrating the product to as many potential consumers as possible at a variety of Home Shows, Farm Shows, Fairs and Rodeos. It required excellent interpersonal skills, ability to rebound from being told no, as well as being able to close a sale. Each interaction lasted at most a few minutes, with the intention being a demonstration and a sale all within the same interaction.

Grand Isle, Louisiana, United States

My role at Bright Side Oyster Company was a few days per week heading to Grand Isle LA from New Orleans and assisting with Oyster cultivation, harvesting, as well as transporting Oysters back to New Orleans to sell direct to consumers as well as to restaurants. After Hurricane Ida hit Louisiana in August 2021, the role changed to rebuilding the Oyster Farm, repairing damage to the equipment, as well as assisting the State Oyster Hatchery get new seed into the water to help offset the loss of the old seed after the Hurricane.

As a Pedicab Driver in New Orleans, my primary role was transporting passengers safely and effectively through the French Quarter from Point A to B. My role also included giving scenic tours through the city from an hour at a time to an entire day being rented out. I have worked on an off as a Driver during times I have lived in New Orleans and now have almost 10 years of experience with the same company.

The role of Core Team Member meant a little bit of everything that was needed for the company to grow. From kitchen-prep work and juicing hundreds of pounds of fruit a week, to expanding our outreach to include new retail partners as well as Farmer Markets. Because of the effects of Covid-19, the company had to pivot as to how they sold and distributed their product; and I was a crucial part of expanding our outreach as well as gaining new retail as well as Farmers Market partners across San Diego and Orange County, CA.

This role was a Summer position which required giving Kayak tours for up to 20 people on the Pacific Ocean. The main responsibility outside of giving an engaging and informative tour was to keep everyone safe and out of harms way on the water. It required good group management skills, public speaking, as well as teamwork.

As a Digital Marketing Analyst, my role was to contact companies currently running a Google Ads campaign via cold calling and email. Our goal as a company was to bring them on board for a review of their current account, provide them free advice, and if it is the right fit for both of us, manage their online marketing presence. It required being able to start cold call conversations, highlight the ability and past success of the company, as well as being able to rebound from being told no consistently.

The primary responsibility of this role was to transport customers safely and efficiently to events in Boston. The main events were Red Sox home games at Fenway Park, which run from April-October. Outside of the Customer Service and Hospitality aspect, this role required stamina to pedal customers all day and for many days in a row, as well as the ability to work in uncomfortable weather situations including cold, rain and extreme heat.

I was employed every Summer from 2016-2019 with the company. The role required giving Kayak Tours to customers and relaying information about the local geography, aquaculture and history. The role also required working in a retail setting selling tours as well as equipment, and also required driving a trailer and delivering boats sold and for rent across Midcoast Maine.

This role was working for a family-owned Handyman Business in the Metro-west Boston area. I assisted on many jobs over the years including basic home maintenance, bathroom remodels, deck building, masonry projects and many more in between. I gained invaluable carpentry, construction, as well as renovation experience and experienced working with a wide variety of power tools.

New Orleans, La

This role required giving tours of the Bayou to tourists visiting New Orleans. It involved bringing guests from the city out to the Bayou, loading up a trailer of Kayaks and setting off into the Bayou. Beyond giving guests an entertaining and insightful tour of alligators, snakes, and cypress trees; it required keeping groups safe as well as together. The role required good group management, public speaking, as well as working in uncomfortable conditions including extreme heat and summer thunderstorms.

Myself and a business partner purchased an operational fleet of 12 Pedicabs to be used primarily for Ole Miss Football Games. Beyond my role as an owner as well as driver, I was also the Director of Marketing. This aspect of the job was ensuring that all the Pedicabs had an advertising contract with a local business and operated as moving billboards. It required cold calling as well as cold approaching businesses in the area, making connections within the community as well as being able to take rejection and forge ahead with new business relationships.

I was responsible for capturing deposed clients testimony and uploading the content to various servers and platforms for attorneys to later use in court. I was also the Office Manager of the Louisiana Office for Golkow in New Orleans, where I was responsible for printing transcripts of depositions taken within the state, and sending them to attorneys and law offices across the country.

My first job out of college, I was lucky enough to work for the Royal Orleans Hotel in New Orleans. One of the oldest and most famous hotels in the city, the job required me to greet guests staying with us, assisting them with their luggage, as well as ensuring anything else they needed during their stay was provided. Our bell staff regularly ranked as the best of all the Omni properties in terms of guest satisfaction, and the hospitality experience and skills I learned from my co-workers was essential to how I carry myself today.

I held a variety of roles while working for B&B. Primarily, I was a server, busser, bartender; while also serving as bar captain for the 2015 LSU Tigers football season inside Tiger Stadium. We worked events across Southeast Louisiana, including Lafayette, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans.
