Navy-trained Emergency Medicine physician. I am experienced in the hospital setting, and excelled as Academic Chief Resident for a large residency program with over 45 residents across 4 postgraduate years and multiple physician assistants in their Emergency Medicine Fellowships. I have completed research as the primary investigator for multiple case studies from the Emergency Department, published book chapters, and have had presentations accepted at both National and International Conferences. Current areas of interest include virtual reality-based medical simulation and it's current role across healthcare training pipelines, and prolonged casualty care. Previously, I served as Staff Emergency Physician and Medical Director for the ER at Naval Hospital Sigonella in Sicily. Currently serving as Emergency Physician for Combat Logistics Battalion 11 in San Diego, California. Consulting roles include being a member of the Medical Oversight Board for SimX, Inc where I assist in content and tool creation as well as research efforts.
