Michael Post was born in Denmark in 1968 and studied Business Administration and Management followed by International, Business, Trade and Commerce (MSc) in Aarhus, Denmark.He moved with his wife to South East London, United Kingdom in 1996 and built an international career in National Stach & Chemicals. This was followed by several roles in supply chain, planning and business management.In 2005 he joined Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) in purchasing. In 2009, following AkzoNobel's acquisition of ICI, he was appointed European sourcing manager for Latex and monomers. In 2012 he moved to the globalized commodity area titanium dioxide (TiO2) where he was involved in developing global strategies, negotiating global key supplier agreements and implementation of strategic relationships and agreements.In 2016 he took global responsibility for all TiO2 spend in AkzoNobel where he led a team of highly skilled regional purchasing managers and interacted daily with senior executives.In 2020 he took global responsibility for the Packaging portfolio across BU's and regions with a vision to deliver best in class and standardised efficient packaging spend, while securing supply and driving year on year savings.His passion for maintaining high integrity and standards in business dealings is combined with a keen interest in building strategic and critical sourcing categories. He excel in a complex global business environment and delivers first-class result, while maintaining strong relationships internally and with key suppliers. He enjoys working with people from around the world and learning from these cultures.
