I specialise in the defence of financial crime, fraud and regulatory investigations and prosecutions.I have acted in numerous high profile investigations and prosecutions brought against individuals by the SFO, FCA, NCA, HMRC and other regulatory bodies and prosecution agencies. I regularly advise in international cases that involve US and European Prosecutors/Regulators and the overlap between jurisdictions. I also advise both companies and professional firms on their anti money laundering compliance. I was a committee member of the Law Society's Money Laundering Task Force for approximately ten years. I am a Solicitor-Advocate (Higher Courts Criminal and Civil Proceedings).I graduated from Oxford University in 1993. I qualified at Dechert LLP in 1997. I was a founding partner of Byrne and Partners LLP in 2003. I was made Managing Partner of the firm in 2012 and later Senior Partner. I am a member of the Fraud Lawyers Association and a member of the International Bar Association. I also sit on the Lexis/Nexis Corporate Crime editorial board.
