As part of my Outside Broadcast level 9 PDA, I was a member of a in-college production crew which worked on a number of external productions. I worked along side a number of clients to produce live broadcasts on location including football, rugby, Australian rules football, live concerts, charity events, and dance performances. While my job was mainly as camera operator (fixed and roaming), I also had opportunity of vision mixing, operating graphics, and monitoring sound. As I was building my practical skills, I was also learning how to manage paper work and preparations for shoots. I was often responsible for creating call sheets, carrying out RECCEs, filling out risk assessment forms and providing proposals for upcoming shoots.
