I actively evaluate current and ongoing computing needs and offer viable recommendations for improvement. In my two years at Garland Lodge and Resort I've become familiar with advanced switching, firewalls, complex wifi arrays, long range wireless bridges, and hotel management & hospitality computing systems.In my first year at Garland I relocated the existing datacenter which was located in an unsuitable environment. I met some challenges and made some mistakes along the way but have since learned from my errors.I'm currently learning more about compliance and I'm evaluating a new Mitel VOIP solution to replace our analog phone system.A few of my responsibilities here are:• Monitor and repair all network essential firewalls, gateways, routers, T1 circuits,guest WiFi array, managed switches, wireless bridges, fiber links, and copper & fiber cabling.• Responsible for Network administrator tasks including active directory, managing user accounts, and group policies for various resort systems.• Maintain incremental onsite and offsite resort critical data in accordance with theResorts’ technology policies.• Responsible for the maintenance of all resort technology including workstations, peripherals, security cameras/software.• Work with banquet groups to set up and break down AV solutions for weddings,meetings, and various events.• Manage Nortel option 11 phone system

• Design, install, and Support in house computer systems and server environment. (Including Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista Business, Windows 7 Professional, Mac OS X Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion, Windows Server 2003, Server 2008, Linux Server, and virtual server environment (vmWare ESXi).• Plan, Install, and Maintain hardware infrastructure including but not limited to: Printers (Direct Thermal, laser, and inkjet), routers, Cisco ASA, switches, Mitel VOIP hardware/software, and other networking equipment.• Compiled and presented work plans to company executives for new and ongoing projects.• Managed and supervised plant technology conversions and expansions.• Created and implemented numerous I.T. Security policies.
