Reviewed applicable post-award documents and records of previous activity to ensure compliance with contract as well as confirming contractor provided the most cost efficient/effective methods. Aggressively devised solutions to de-conflict efforts between the customer, several US Government agencies, and Contractors through detailed research of mission requirements and challenges impeding the Program’s success. Saved customer approximately $35k and 2 weeks’ time by coordinating property disposition efforts across 5 agencies in 4 different countries. Complexities involved multiple stakeholders supporting U.S. interests and Afghan National Army initiatives using foreign funding to procure foreign and U.S. aircraft for Afghanistan and other sovereign countries. Decisions made were binding upon the Government and based upon a broad knowledge of Government contracting law and regulations, industry practices, processes peculiar to defense contracting, and sound business judgment. Complexity of operations included a variety of commodity, construction and service acquisitions involving large funding levels, substantial impact on the economic well-being of Iraq, and senior levels of Command monitoring progress due to visibility of work done in an expeditionary contracting environment.Saved customer approximately $15M over a 4 month period by negotiating alternative solutions to customer’s airfield terminal and living space construction projects; additional benefits included 80% reduction in counterfeit electrical components and improved customer work and living space safety.Awarded Meritorious Service Medal for exemplary performance while serving as the ACO for LOGCAP Task Order 0007 for “professionalism, dedication to duty, and selfless service were instrumental to the continued mission success of the Command.
