Along with normal project management duties I facilitated the mapping common VA terms from within the entire national VistA database to a Standards Data Organization terms e.g. local VA medications to the RxNorm code and name. There were ~32 data 'domains' that required analysis to determine if mapping was possible and to document that analysis for all.

Worked on a team of 8 responsible for the initial roll out of the VA's Decentralized Hospital Computer Program (DHCP) to 34 VA Medical Centers west of the Mississippi to the west coast. DHCP was the VA's initial effort to computerize health care for the nations Veterans in all 156 VA Medical Centers. I provided not only support of DHCP, but for hardware.
