I used Jetpack Room as architectural choice for data abstraction and created reusable custom Jetpack compose UI elements for the internal UI FrameworkDeveloped Land Mobile Radio (LMR), push-to-talk two-way communication between radio transceivers, capabilities to work on the 3rd party app ATAK. I designed an algorithm to work around LMR’s limited capabilities. Tested and implemented UI/UX to fit on a Radio Next screen, smaller than a modern device’s screen size than ATAK was designed for.Lead and drove the company’s Inclusion Initiative on the Mobile Apps team. Created JIRA stories to remove non inclusive language in code, presented and led discussion on the Inclusive Initiative, and created a safer environment for current and future employees by making a more inclusive team.My individual contributions to the team outside of normal developer responsibilities included. Manually deployed official radio builds for urgent defects. Analyzed radio logs weekly for app crashes and ANRs to find potential defects. Fixed crashes by creating, routing, managing and overseeing Jiras to reduce the number of defects and stop ships occurring for the clients. On a bi-weekly basis, packaged up new files for translation and incorporated translated files into the code base. Managed JIRAs pertaining to translation requests.
