Responsible for ad hoc projects in group financial reporting. Achievements have included:- Design and implementation of £23bn multi-jurisdictional group reorganisation, including identification of hedging mismatches that saved £2m;- Design and implementation of a group-wide distributable reserves project that resulted in a £9bn increase in parent company distributable reserves and the audit of those reserves;- Structural design of several group M&A transactions, including £7.8bn purchase of WPD; $3.8bn disposal of Narragansett Electric Company; £400m disposal of St William joint venture interest; and the £4.2bn disposal of National Grid Gas. - Group rationalisation project, including company liquidations; consolidation of intra-group loans; streamlined currency hedging processes; and introduction of parent company guarantees to reduce unnecessary statutory audits.

Achievements included:- Use of transition elections to reduce reported interest expense by c.£40m over the years following transition;- Identification and remediation of investment accounting system issues;- Design and implementation of IFRS 9 approach to ECL on customer receivables;- Technical hedge accounting support.

Responsible for financial and insurance regulatory accounting analyses for all proposed and executed transactions, together with financial management and operational responsibility for the Portfolio Solutions Group, a multi-disciplinary transactions team split between London and New York.
