I retired from the Kern County Probation Department in 2024. The positions and titles I have held include Juvenile Correctional Officer: I/II, Camp Erwin Owen; Deputy Probation Officer I/II: Deputy Probation Officer III. The units I have worked in include Training Division, Juvenile Investigations I/III and Camp Erwin Owen. Additionally, based on my research and experience in dealing with assessing delinquent youth, I also provided training to the Kern County Probation Department regarding Evidence Based Practices, Motivational Interviewing, and the assessment of delinquent youth and wards of the Court to identify level of risk to re-offend and criminogenic needs. I am a past California Training Officers Association President and past California Probation, Parole and Correctional Association Golden Chapter President and State Legislative Chair. I am a member of the California Probation Parole and Correctional Association (CPPCA), and Western Society of Criminology (WSC).
