I am a very ambitious and enthusiastic individual who thrives under stress, and am proud of my work. I have completed a bachelor of Earth Science degree with honours from UNB Fredericton, and received the Leopold Gelinas VIP Bronze medal for my thesis work regarding carbonatite research. After a short period of working in the field as a geologist, I decided it was time for a change in career direction, and went back to school for computer science.I began my career at IBM Security while still in school via the UNB PEP Co-Op program, allowing me to work and study for the last year of my degree. Since then I have had the opportunity to grow and develop alongside many talented individuals, some of whom I am very grateful for the guidance and opportunities they have provided me. I have been an champion of Agile development throughout my career, being in developer, iteration manager, and product owner roles as well as mentoring those around me to spread healthy development habits. I have been a customer advocate throughout my entire career, even winning an internal award for providing excellent support in this role, and being named the Focal for the product area I was under.Technically, I try to learn and share as much as I can at any given time. I am always looking for better ways to work, to enhance the development experience for myself and team members. My goal is always to make work fun and challenging and at the same time, improve output quality, security, and speed. In November 2023 I was given an Outstanding Technical Achievement Award for my role in delivering the new QRadar Cloud Native SIEM product.I have just began the next chapter in my career journey as a Senior Developer at Arctic Wolf, and couldn't be more excited for the challenges ahead!
