•Assists in developing strategic plans for special districts (community development districts, community revitalization agencies and other special purpose districts created to spur economic development such as housing, neighborhood commercial centers, waterfront zones, industrial or wholesaling districts, and special use areas) including implementation of special taxing districts, economic revitalization of declining areas, the coordination of infrastructure improvements and the establishment of supportive legislative and regulatory policies from relevant jurisdictions.•Performs research and related tasks, facilitates related meetings, coordinates the review of submissions, and prepares reports, agreements, legislative and related documents. Assists in the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation phase of projects by coordinating work by developers, consultants, lessees, lessors, licensees, and others during each phase of a projects.•Serve as liaison between other City departments and with other governmental and non-profit agencies, chambers of commerce, lessees, lessors, and consultants as needed•Maintains lease inventory and conducts site visits of projects or leased property to ensure compliance with agreements.•Schedules and conducts inspections of project sites, program areas and sites of model projects to ascertain work progress, conditions and/or to gather research data.

Responsibile for coordinating the delivery of municipal services and public outreach at the neighborhood level. Additionally, this position is expected to seek out complex and innovative methods of enhancing the quality of life in the neighborhood and to provide leadership and guidance to community organizations and other public agencies involved in carrying out such activities.

Developing job opportunities with public and private employers; following the job placement strategies, developing On-the-Job Training (OJT) opportunities and/or directing placement opportunities with employers; matching qualified job seekers with employers’ placement needs; monitoring Employ Florida marketplace to ensure complete job seekers registration; coordinating Workforce Center staff to ensure appropriate referrals for clients; monitoring and following up on client’s progress after placement to ensure long-term job retention; establishing relationships with potential employers and maintaining listings of job opportunities in the service area; providing pre-employment counseling to clients, emphasizing the skills and qualities for employment; conducing follow-up services and document placement and retention in case file; completing all paperwork required for the client entering placement; assisting clients with preparing for job interviews, including, but not limited to: mock interviews, resume preparation, application review, and cover letter preparation; participating in business and trade organizations that promote workforce and economic development; compiling and preparing reports; and performing other related duties as required.

Supervise employees engaged in the instruction of specialized, Recreational programs; explain program instruction methods and procedures to subordinates personnel. Give advice and assistance on unusual or difficult problems. Disseminate information to the general public regarding departmental activities; schedule special programs; assembled materials used by program participants. Coordinate basketball tournament for community to run yearly.

Responsibilities include planning, developing, implementing and evaluating in service training program for low-income clients. Development of training program includes public contact skills, interviewing skills, resume writing and employability skills training. Assist in research and preparation of written proposals for new projects. Serve as department liaison in the coordination of services between different county agencies and private employers. Provide job readiness, job development, career counseling and placement activities for low-income clients.
