Direct, coordinate, and complete physical plant services to maintain the building and grounds Assure compliance of Life Safety regulations including training of team members. Routinely inspect the physical plant and provide routine preventative maintenance and janitorial duties within acceptable standards of practice. Coordinate, direct, and document required fire drills and fire drill training on a monthly basis. Schedule, perform and log all safety tests (Fire Alarm, pull cords, etc.) Perform preventative maintenance to keep the building and equipment in good working condition. Document work in the Preventative Maintenance log Perform electrical work and building repairs as needed. Work with vendors to schedule and monitor contract work. Manage and monitor department budget. Supervise, manage, train, coach and counsel the maintenance and Housekeeping teams.

Worked together with the Ministry Director and Food Scouting Committee to determine needs for specific food donations, and determine the best sources from which to solicit those donations. Attended regular meetings of the Food Committee, and follow up with members as needed on their solicitation assignments. In addition, personally make contact with representatives from supermarkets, wholesalers, and other organizations to request contributions. Recruit, schedule, and oversee volunteer drivers and helpers to pick up donations at the times and locations specified by the donors. Recruit, schedule and train volunteers in the food pantry. Coordinated with Food Bank on making appropriate items available to fill emergency food boxes. Coordinated with other agencies regarding the distribution of New Hope's excess food items. Work with volunteers to have necessary food supplies ready for distribution to other outreach agencies. Worked with Food Department staff to ensure that regulations set by health and fire departments as well as monitoring agencies are routinely followed in the New Hope food pantry. Coordinated with Food bank Director to ensure that donor acknowledgement letters are accurate, well-written, and sent promptly.Worked with area food bank to setup new ways of food distribution to unreached areas.
