I currently oversee and manage activities in the area of information systems to ensure that goals or objectives of projects and performance indicators are accomplished within prescribed timeframe, budget parameters, quality standards, and safety guidelines for Sheffield Utilities.• Implement industry standards for network security and apply those standards throughout the organization.• Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems for the financial systems, payroll, GIS mapping, and Water/ Wastewater Scada Systems• Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.• Prepare annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness for technology items for each department• Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software for billing office, water plant, and wastewater plants.• Manage assets within the IT environment to optimize spending and support lifecycle management and strategic decision-making for each department.Communications• Manage the organization’s Voice Over IP phone system to ensure communication with our customers and call center.• Manage the organization’s cellular communications, including cellular phones, tablet computers, AMI cellular equipment, SCADA equipment for Water Plant and Wastewater Plant.• Manage the deployment of paperless Service Order applications to field personnel, with use of cellular phones and tablets.• Administer Windows Active Directory for company's user access to our internal network.• Ensure all internal server replacements are performed promptly to ensure quality network performance.• Maintain internal computer networks and systems, including network routers, servers, VPNs, and network hubs/ switches.Automated Metering• Manage the patching and security of the Automated Metering Servers.• Manage the integrations of CIS billing functions and OMS functions with our AMI network devices.• Program and configure communication infrastructure, including collectors and repeaters, to communicate to our meters throughout the entire county.• Ensure proper communication is kept between the office and the automated meters to allow billing and collections to operate efficiently.• Assist with budgeting and technology needs of future expansion of our AMI systems.• Manage the installation and upgrades for our AMR (drive by) equipment and applications.CIS and Billing• Administer NISC IVUE enterprise solutions for Financials, GIS, Operations, and CIS Systems.• Manage employee portal for payroll, online billing and phone payment system.
