About Michael Russo
I am a resourceful Project Manager/Registered Architect with many years of experience managing multifaceted and multidisciplinary complex design projects from initiation through planning & design, construction documents, construction support services and closing phases. Through the years of experience I developed a proven record of resolving complex problems to the satisfaction of both clients and project teams, and successfully meeting the challenges inherent in the design of mainly diverse variety of projects. One of such projects includes the complete masonry façade replacement and structural system upgrade at the MTA Manhatanville Bus Depot which has recently received the Silver Award for Structural innovations the by the ACEC. For the Department of corrections I has been the Project Manager for the gut renovation of two large correctional facilities at Riker’s island Rose M. Singer Center and George R. Vierno Center. The Renovation of both facilities is guided by the concept by which the creations of more humane environments and more direct supervision have a direct relation with the decrease in recidivism rates in correctional facilities. I have led these projects from the preliminary programing phase to the final design and construction phases. As part of my organization managerial attributes, I have become involvement in the STV’s Building’s & Facilities Department’s operations and the interview process of new candidates. I am responsible for managing and mentoring about half a dozen direct reports.
