Group Sales Account Executive

Dec 2024 - Present

Ticket Sales Consultant

Cincinnati, Ohio, United States

- Full menu selling- Sold to groups ranging from 15-200- Averaged between $30,000-$50,000 in sales each month- Top 3 in touch points on a team of 16 since MayComing back for my second season with the Cincinnati Reds I looked to take what I learned from my group sales internship the previous year and apply it to my day-to-day in this role. How I've been able to do that is focusing on group sales ranging from 15-200 attendees and up to five figures in revenue. What sets me apart on my Sales Development team is my customer service and dedication to helping our fans have the best outing possible. Putting in place a consistent communication schedule to always stay in contact with my clients building that relationship while also being creative to make the outing as special as possible for their group.

Cincinnati Cyclones Sales Intern

Cincinnati, Ohio, United States

- Assisted Sales staff with events and activations- Cold calling and sales prospecting- Organized fan events like the Frozen 5k and on-ice experiencesAssisting with the Cyclones sales staff could range from any responsibility like monitoring the Puck Line answering any questions fans might have, prospecting and cold calling different groups and organizations, and even getting chances to sell their full menu. One focus I had when coming to the Cyclones was to sell a suite for one game which I was able to do organizing a large group outing for an interested company in the area. Coordinated a fun outing for their group with interest in doing another outing next season.

Group Sales Intern

Cincinnati, Ohio, United States

- Assisted Group Sales staff with events and activations- Managed different club programs like Kid Glove, Fan Express, etc.- Sold Handlebar buyout over $23,000 in totalWhile in groups I managed different club programs and initiatives like Kid Glove, Partner Discount, Fan Express, and more. Assisted sales staff with events and activations while also getting a chance to sell to groups ranging from 15-150 in size.Accomplishments from this season:- Set Reds Intern Sales Day RecordEvery year the club will have "Intern Sales Day" where they will run a promotion for interns to call past clients and sell. I set the record for most sales on this day with $3,450 in total revenue, more than double than the person in second place.- Handlebar buyoutWhile assisting a client with helping set up a suite for an event he had mentioned bringing on new advisors and needing more space to do an outing. I gave him a soft pitch on a space that could work for him and we had set the meeting for a month out in advance. In perpetration I stayed late after work each day to practice my pitch walking around the Handlebar by myself, pretty sure some of the cleaning staff thought I was a little crazy. The pitch went well and he ended up buying the space for next season, not a bad way to end an internship.

Social Events Intern

Cincinnati, Ohio, United States

The Cincinnati Sports Club would throw weekly themed parties for its members averaging 275-400 in attendance. As the social events intern my responsibilities would be to help plan these parties and everything that would go into them. This includes:- Scheduling for the event (Food, beverage, alcohol, staff)- Contract agreements with performing acts and entertainment- Planning layouts- MarketingWe were able to be in charge for a few weeks as well and the most important thing I learned each week was how important communication is. As the manager you need to double and triple-check that everyone knows where they're supposed to be and what they're supposed to do. This is something I wasn't initially the best at but recognized it was something I needed to improve on.

Sales & Marketing Intern

Cincinnati, Ohio, United States

During this internship I split my time between the Sales and Marketing departments.I was the first intern to split my time between these two departments:- Assist our sales staff- Reach out to past guests about potential membership- Tour and sign new members upWorking with the sales staff taught me how to deal with rejection. I remember thinking one of the first tours I conducted went well and there was no way the client wouldn't sign up. After using the day pass I gave him he never came back, the sales staff saw how disappointed I was but said it was a good thing. Not only am I showing that I care and want to do as well as possible but this is a part of the process that I need to get used to.My other time was spent working with our marketing department developing promotional campaigns for different club projects and deals. While working in this role I was responsible for:- Marketing internal club advertising- Content creation (videos, newsletters, social media content, etc.)- Advertising campaignsWhile in this role I learned how important it is to market to an entire audience, often times I would be set on a design or way I wanted to create an image and it would be rejected by management. This taught me how I need to constantly be thinking outside of the box and be willing to try new and different ways to create content and push the promotion.

Box Office Sales Intern

Florence, Kentucky, United States

During office hours I was responsible for customer service in the box office as well as researching different tournaments and events going on in our area. I was scouting out different group sales opportunities and would push leads to our sales staff. Along with this, I would also assist our marketing department with anything they might need for different fan outings. During game days I would be in the box office selling tickets, at gates scanning fans as they come in, or anything else the club might need that day. For a few games, I was even able to be the head intern and run the box office staff for a game. After learning from other interns who went first, I tried to develop my strategy around it by having quick shift changes and making sure everyone was on the same page communication-wise. While working in minor league baseball you learn to "wear different hats" and work in just about every department. For me, this included even being the mascot which was the Y'all Star on a few occasions which wasn't the most fun but all worth it to help the club and make our fans happy. Working here was my first real job in sports and it was an amazing experience that I won't ever forget.
