As a serial entrepreneur, I have started 15 companies and have created tens of billions of dollars in net worth for my investors and stakeholders. I "identify" as a strategic visionary. :-)I paid my own way through college by working fulltime and earning degrees in Physics, Engineering and Law. After "serving" ten years as an engineer in corporate America, I began the scary adventure as an entrepreneur, founding: Internet Global, Palo Duro Records, Texas Acceleration Group, and Teladoc. Most people know Teladoc is the world’s largest telemedicine company. After all the early battles in remote care, I have earned the credential as one of the pioneers of telemedicine and digital health. This sector is now a half-TRILLION dollar industry. In 2022 I joined with Jay Sanders, “The Father of Telemedicine,” to write Digital medical Home which details the harrowing tales of the history of telemedicine, something we all now take for granted.In my spare time, I have become an accomplished author, writing in both fiction and nonfiction, recently writing Tachyon Tunnel, a science fiction book that has earned a Literary Titan Gold medal, and Calamistunity, The Secret to Success, a book on how to turn calamity and mistakes into opportunity. My first business book was Broken Handoff which was an amalgamation of three decades as an entrepreneur developing companies. Broken Handoff was named the #1 M&A book in 2019 by Book Authority and even landed on Amazon’s Top 10 chart. My fourth novel, Forefathers & Founders reached the #1 slot on the Historical Fiction Chart and won several prestigious awards. In addition to the books, I have authored articles on a wide range of topics including the internet, power systems, healthcare, telemedicine, astronomy and much more.While not consulting, running, or writing, I find myself public speaking on the topics of innovation and entrepreneurial disruption, inspiration and winning. I have done over 100 keynotes in the past two years alone! With all those battles, I was fortunate to have been named: Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. In addition, I served as a World Economic Forum Tech Pioneer, and a Future 50 Disruptor.In my “spare” time, I enjoy long distance running, working on my third-Degree Black Belt in Kenpo, and climbing the highest point of elevation in each of the 50 states. With 43 states down, only 7 to go!I am always looking for opportunities to do public speaking, and deliver inspirational messages to corporations, associations, and trade organizations.
