AborFlight was formed in 2016 to supply a comprehensive tree and vegetation management solution for owners and people responsible for large tree and vegetation assets, spread across wide geographical areas. ArborFlight focus on Airborne surveying and data capture, analysis and planning and finally, the remedial work.The management team at AborFlight includes me, Michael Sander, Arboriculturist, Quentin Nicholls and Scientist Dr Paul Barber. Together we have over 50 years’ experience in the survey, management and control of trees and vegetation on land and in water.Our site surveys can be done on the ground or airborne by drone, plane or helicopter. We don’t just provide remotely sensed imagery. We conduct a broad analysis of the data collected in-situ and remotely, to provide a thorough report and diagnosis. Our reports may include advice about tree locations and health, eradicating invasive plant species, restocking vegetation or drawing attention to potential pests and diseases. We provide a tailor-made package that’s adapted perfectly to your requirements, monitoring, detecting and recommending solutions for tree and vegetation management.Unlike other companies in this field, we have considerable expertise in remote sensing and a deep knowledge of vegetation management. For our drone operations, we have the permission of the CAA to carry out Commercial Operations; this is commonly known as a Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO) and our permission number is UAV7235. We are also verified members of the Drone Safe Register.

Upon completion of my degree in 2006, I became Business Development Manager and then Operations Manager for S.H. Goss. I was responsible for multiple teams across southern England, providing ground maintenance solutions for companies such as EDF (now UK Power Networks).In 2009, I became Commercial Director. In this role, I have successfully tendered, won and managed contracts for ground maintenance and weed control for some of the world’s largest utility providers, which include National Grid Plc and Thames Water. I also obtained and managed contracts for the Commonwealth War Commission, the Environment Agency, Forestry Commission and many local authorities.In 2017 I became Managing Director, responsible for the overall running of the business. My role in the company also includes developing good relationships with our clients and ensuring that all works are carried out efficiently and on target. I continue to work towards the creation of new and efficient methods of vegetation control and maintenance and my desire to provide a complete package, including survey and data analysis, led to the setting up of AborFlight Ltd in 2016.
