After many years in commercial roles I retrained as a Gardener in 2018 to follow my passion for horticulture. Having completed a 12 month 'hands on' training course and worked in a garden centre to improve my plant knowledge, I took the role of Garden Manager with Short Stay Homes. This involves managing a range of interesting properties spread across the New Forest and Dorset. I have redesigned and planted multiple gardens aiming to give each space a unique feel which suits the location, whilst working within constraints such as deer wandering through the garden and limited access when the holiday homes are occupied in hot summer periods. My wife and I also run a boarding cattery; looking after cats whilst their owners are on holiday or having work done, moving house etc.
