    Postdoctoral Associate
Duke University School Of Medicine Aug 2022 - Present
Currently pursuing postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Dr. Terry Lechler in the Duke School of Medicine. The goal of my research is to determine the transcriptional networks that regulate gut development and disease progression.
  • University Of Michigan Medical School
    Ph.D. Candidate
University Of Michigan Medical School Aug 2015 - Jul 2022
Completed a Ph.D. through the Cell and Developmental Biology graduate program at the University of Michigan. Through the co-mentorship of Dr. Benjamin Allen and Dr. Marina Pasca di Magliano, I investigated the role of Hedgehog (HH) signaling in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (PDA). Specifically, I determined that the GLI family of HH transcription factors (GLI1, GLI2, GLI3) control tumor growth by directly regulating immune infiltration in PDA.
  • Uc Davis School Of Medicine - Department Of Cell Biology And Human Anatomy
    Junior Specialist
Uc Davis School Of Medicine - Department Of Cell Biology And Human Anatomy Aug 2013 - Aug 2015
    Davis, Ca
Employed as a Junior Specialist in the lab of Dr. Ho in the UC Davis School of Medicine. The Ho Lab seeks to uncover the key factors relevant to non-canonical Wnt-signaling during mammalian development. My role focused on characterizing cellular, developmental, and biochemical changes associated with altered Wnt signaling, as well as assisting with general lab management.
  • Uc Davis Medical Center Department Of Cardiology
    Undergraduate Researcher
Uc Davis Medical Center Department Of Cardiology Nov 2011 - Aug 2013
    Davis, Ca
Assisted in Dr. Villablanca’s research lab in the UCDMC Department of Cardiology. Research involves the study of fat buildup in the aortic lumen of mice as a result of a high-fat diet. Received training in laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and animal care & use. Primary responsibilities included genotyping study mice, assisting with immunochemical assays, and updating mouse colony records.
  • Uc Davis Department Of Molecular And Cellular Biology
    Undergraduate Tutor
Uc Davis Department Of Molecular And Cellular Biology Apr 2013 - Jun 2013
    Davis, Ca
Aided in the instruction of UC Davis Course Principles of Genetics Laboratory. Students become familiar with laboratory techniques key to molecular biology, including: PCR, gel electrophoresis, genetic mapping, subcloning, transformation, RNAi, and BLAST searching. My role is to assist with instruction of laboratory sections and answer student questions.
  • Uc Davis Department Of Geography
    Senior Research Assistant
Uc Davis Department Of Geography Mar 2011 - Apr 2012
    Davis, Ca
I assisted in Dr. Mantor’s research project investigating California Ground Squirrel behavior in response to terrestrial predators. I initially completed audio and video data analysis of ground squirrel behavior. I also participated in field research, which involved capturing, tagging, and weighing squirrels. I ultimately managed new undergraduate researchers and organized their data.
