For 27 years, I have represented consumers and small businesses in complex class actions and multi-plaintiff lawsuits against some of the country’s largest banks, insurers, credit card, and telecommunication companies. My practice covers a broad range of legal areas including antitrust, fraud, and consumer protection and I have recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for my clients. From 2015-2023, I was a partner at Gibbs Law Group where I was co-lead class counsel in cases against Wells Fargo Bank and Tarsadia Hotels that collectively achieved over $100 million in settlement funds for class members. I was also on the Expert Committee and trial team in the In re: Disposable Contact Lens Antitrust Litigation, a nationwide class action lawsuit that settled for $118 million. I was on the Plaintiffs' Steering committee in In re Wells Fargo Collateral Protection Insurance Litigation a different action against Wells Fargo that settled from $393 million. I also helped initiate a class action against Umpqua Bank for aiding and abetting a real estate Ponzi scheme. The court certified a nationwide class and denied Umpqua’s motion for summary judgment. Prior to joining Gibbs Law Group LLP, I was a partner and co-founder of Meade & Schrag where I served as Co-Lead counsel in Ammari v. Pacific Bell Directory, representing consumers who overpaid an AT&T subsidiary for advertising in Yellow Pages directories. After prevailing in a jury trial and on two appeals, we obtained a $27 million judgment for class members. Before founding Meade & Schrag, I worked at Schrag & Baum P.C. with my father Tom Schrag. We prosecuted several actions against Visa, MasterCard, and major U.S. banks such as Chase and Bank of America for failing to disclose and fixing the price of currency conversion fees charged to cardholders who used credit cards in foreign countries. After we prevailed at trial in a state court action, we obtained a $336 million global settlement for the class of credit cardholders in the MDL action, In re Currency Conversion Fee Antitrust Litigation.I also helped recover over $10 million on behalf of my clients in In Re Sulzer Hip Prosthesis and Knee Prosthesis Liability Litigation, a multidistrict litigation that awarded a total of $1 billion to patients who received defective hip implants.I began my career prosecuting securities class action at Milberg Weiss Bershad Hynes & Lerach and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judith N.
