Jean Lafitte National Historical Park - Chalmette Unit, French Quarter Unit. Provided public tours of the Battle of New Orleans battlefield and of the French Quarter of New Orleans. Physical security and public safety manager for the Chalmette Battlefield. Researcher, policy advisor and liason with the Veterans Administration National Cemetery Service in the management of the Chalmette National Cemetery.

Prince William Forest Park, National Capital Region, Triangle-Quantico, Virginia. Park museum collection curator and historian. Park program manager for museum collection management, history, bookstore operations, fire prevention eduction, cemetery management. Led 20-person crews and served on interagency wildland [forest] fire fighting crews assigned to Virginia, West Virginia and the western United States in Montana, Wyoming, Washington.

Harry S Truman National Historic Site in Independence, Missouri. Assisted in the curation, cataloging, research and storage of museum objects in a historically funished home. Conducted public and VIP tours for local, state, federal, international officials and former officials of the Truman administration of the Harry Truman home. Conducted historical research on house furnishings, museum artifacts, property ownership records, lands considered for national park boundary expansion. Served on interagency wildland [forest] fire fighting crews on assignment in western United States in Glacier National Park in Montana and National Forests in western Wyoming.

Little Rock District - Table Rock Lake Project Office. A summer seasonal position involved in outdoor federal recreation regulatory enforcement at campgrounds and public use areas. Conducted night-time patrols of campgrounds, boat ramps, and public access points. Provided visitor orientation and information about facilities and services. Assisted local law enforcement officials in preserving order and property protection on Corps of Engineers lands. Testified as a prosecution witness in local circuit courts in Missouri and Arkansas.

Ozark National Forest at Ozark and Jasper, Arkansas. Four seasonal positions involved in timber and range management conducting and contracting non-commercial thinning, hardwood timber research, firewood sales, marking sales boundaries and tallying timber sales, trail maintenance and construction, campground maintenance and construction, forest road and right of way maintenance, and wildland [forest] fire suppression. Researched timber treatment and harvesting histories in forestry management units (compartments). Conducted research for boundaries and management history of lands included in the Arkansas Wilderness Act of 1984.
