Currently enrolled as a student nurse at the University of Dundee, based at their Kirkcaldy Campus. Following a varied career between Adult Health & Social Care and Hospitality I have collated a variety of skills throughout this journey that I can successfully interlink between both careers and connect with individuals. I am qualified to degree level in Health Studies with an SVQ 3 in Adult Health & Social Care. I have also trained as a moving and handling trainer although this qualification has now lapsed. I am a trained anticipatory care planning trainer and was part of the ACP stakeholder group within Edinburgh & the Lothian’s, a position I was very proud to hold at the time. Outside of healthcare I am proficient in many elements to a high standard in marketing, events planning and management, working within effective CRM systems and being a strong and respected leader. While navigating my current degree I will use the time to look at and figure out the next steps of my career once I graduate as a registered nurse in 2026. What’s next? Let’s find out.

As well as this I conducted all in house audit and quality assurance systems in line with the company policies including care plan reviews, medication competencies, meal time audits, room audits, medication audits, environmental safety audit, equipment audit, fire safety compliance, staff appraisals and supervisions. I regularly conducted interviews and was involved in small scare training within the home delivering a person centred approach to care, identifying and reporting any training needs staff required. This was a multi site role working over 2 sites. -
