Michael has a BSc (hons) in Building Surveying and moved to London in 2014 to join Finnegan Property Services.Michael's roles at Finnegan Property Services include contract administration, design works, project management and client liaison.On a day to day basis Michael will be seen to:• Liaise with clients • Understand client needs• Produce design options• Make planning applications• Liaise with conservation and listed building authorities• Produce Building Control compliant construction drawings whilst liaising with and necessary engineers and consultants. • Produce tender packages including Auto CAD plans, material and workmanship specification, schedule of works and recommendation of any relevant form of JCT contract.• Carrying out tender analysis and producing of a tender analysis report• Project management• Inspection of works• Valuation of works• Party wall issues• Building surveys • Defect diagnosis• License to alter mattersWhilst providing the above services Michael is currently studying for his APC in order to become a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

After obtaining an advanced plastering qualification Michael then set up as a self-employed plaster where he specialised in property refurbishment, extension work, new build works and commercial office works. Michael ran his own team of plasterers whilst studying at university so was able to stay current, build on his construction knowledge and still further his on-site hands on experience. This gave Michael his first real taste of working as a project manager this being something that he thoroughly enjoyed. Michael has experience in many area of construction working over the last 10 years carrying out works such as:• Roofing• Tiling• Joinery• Plumbing• Plastering• Bricklaying• Drainage• Excavations• Foundations • Concrete worksMichael has successfully developed a number of properties in the Manchester area and has now moved to London to further his career in the industry.
