Teach 38 semester hours a year within the Exercise Science curriculum, as well as develop and maintain course curriculum within accepted professional and college requirements. Recruit, retain, and advise students in the professional and wellness exercise science programs, whose enrollment has increased 150% during the last 5 years. Served as the chair of three curriculums (i.e., Exercise Science, Athletic Training and Physical Education) within the HPESS department including: scheduling, budgetary and accreditation compliance. Supervise practicum and internships, develop and maintain appropriate professional affiliations with in-patient and outpatient physical therapy clinics and for the program, department and college.

Managed the daily operations and administered policies/procedures and budgetary measures for the following four programs: cardiac rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, medical fitness (Phase III rehabilitation), and a employee fitness program. I worked daily within the four programs concerning exercise supervision and prescription for special populations. Developed and conducted marketing programs for the facility throughout the Blount County community, including physician practices. Revised education modules and physician referral protocols for each rehabilitation program. During my first year, cardiac rehabilitation utilization increased 60% and medical fitness 35%, respectively, while total revenues increased 55%. At the time of my departure, three of the four programs had achieved their highest utilization to date.

Managed a staff of 10 in conjunction with the daily operations of a 3,000-member facility including marketing and strategic planning. Coordinated a physician referral program for clinical populations. Developed and supervised continuous exercise programs and follow-up reports for prenatal, physical therapy, weight management and sports specific populations. Designed and implemented individual exercise prescriptions for special populations including: cardiac, diabetic, prenatal, cancer, and orthopedic rehabilitation patients. Performed medical screenings and fitness assessments for general and special populations, including sub-maximal stress testing. Assisted in the development of the daily operations for the facility when it initially opened. Within 18 months the facility had attained membership capacity and had a 6-month waiting list at the time of departure.
