About Michael Shipman

For over 35 years, Mike has specialized in defense litigation and has been involved in a broad range of complex litigation. His practice includes general tort liability, products liability, construction defect and personal injury liability, insurance coverage and litigation, bad faith, employer liability, trucking and automobile liability, toxic tort liability, and premises liability. Mike holds the preeminent rating, AV® Peer Review Rating, given by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He is a frequent speaker to various organizations on topics related to all types of litigation. Mike began his legal career with the Collin County Criminal District Attorney’s Office where he gained significant trial experience as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney. He left the Criminal District Attorney’s Office as chief felony prosecutor in the 199th District Court. Mike was elected in 2011 to the Board of Directors of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel. He currently serves as Legislative Vice-President.
