As a highly accomplished attorney, I have extensive experience in Health, Administrative, Regulatory, and Corporate Law. My career in law started in 2002 when I served as a law clerk to the President Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Beaver County. I then served as an Assistant District Attorney in Beaver County until 2008. In 2008, I moved into Healthcare/Health Law as an Assistant Counsel for the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Currently, I serve as the Executive Director and Legal Counsel for the Pennsylvania House Health Committee (R). Previously, I served as Senior Legal Counsel for the Pennsylvania Medical Society. In that role, I provided legal advice and representation to Board Members, House Speakers, and Society employees on health laws and general corporate legal issues. I lead efforts to advance the goals and objectives of the medical society by rewriting bylaws, drafting legislative amendments, supporting the approval of new regulations, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Additionally, I promoted continuous learning in the industry by delivering educational presentations and training to members on a wide range of hot topics in medicine. Highlights of my career include:•Reduced risk to the society by ensuring members maintained compliance with non-profit status, IRS tax rules, and corporate laws and regulations.•Supported the society’s successful transition to a first-ever, all-virtual annual meeting by providing legal advice and guidance.•Awarded Certificate of Excellence from the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of General Counsel for leading the EMS regulations approval.I look forward to connecting with industry leaders and professionals on LinkedIn.
