Mike was one of the most respectful, enthusiastic, hard-working, and self-motivated students I taught. Beside his excellent performance in classroom, he also accomplished tremendously in the practical areas of recreation, intramural, and sport management at UWF. He had worked in management of UWF recreational and intramural sports even since he came to UWF and was also very involved in other sport event operations in local communities. He served as the president of UWF Sport Management Majors Club from 2008 to date. He led the sport management majors in various on and off campus events’ operations, including the Sport Management Majors Club co-sponsored annual Pack-It Pink fundraising event with the UWF Athletic Department, a well recognized and traditional charity event in Pensacola community, to raise funds for breast cancer research. His contribution to UWF campus sport community had been well recognized and appreciated. Mike is also a very pleasant individual to be with and an excellent team player.
