Since 2016, I have taught English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults in the Park City School District. My students have consistently shown improvement in their language learning. I also teach and tutor adult ESL students privately. For about 9 years, I taught portions of ESL/ELD classes at West High School in Salt Lake City and developed intensive summer ESL classes there. My language teaching began as an undergraduate at Dartmouth College where I taught a class of Spanish I undergraduates for an hour a day, 5 days a week using the Rassias Method. After graduation, I taught Spanish as an A.T. in the 10-day intensive ALPs run by the Rassias Center at Dartmouth College. I have also taught adult ELLs at Lado International College and in the Prince George's County, Maryland School District. A career highlight is teaching English to advanced students at Xi'an Jiaotong University (a C9 university) in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China in the summer of 2019. My teaching is informed by my own foreign study in Puebla, Mexico, and Nairobi, Kenya, as well as my diverse and varied life experiences. I love helping people communicate through language learning and, in the process, making some lasting friendships. I am passionate about it. My students have included people from all walks of life from all over the world. I seek to help people find the confidence to speak English without inhibition, learning and having fun in the process.I am an actor for stage, film, and voiceover.Native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and live in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
