As a Staff Software Engineer on the Efficiency Engineering Team, I work on designing and implementing tools used by LinkedIn Site Engineering to forecast site demand and application requirements. Using machine learning models, we translate those requirements into recommendations for hardware ordering and assignment as well as provide tools for application owners to view their historical performance and automatically size their fleets to most efficiently meet future demands.I lead a small cohort that writes automation to generate forecasts using Silverkite and Prophet algorithms for multiple future scenarios based on business projections. We analyze those forecasts and produce comprehensive reports to share with other teams and management. Those forecasts feed other products that our team maintains to forecast hardware requirements and set testing targets for the company.

FOH and monitor engineer with experience on Digico, Avid, and Yamaha consoles and using Waves plugins. System technician with experience on Martin Audio (with corresponding amps), Turbosound, and EAW with Lake and QSC processing. IT design and implementation for general purpose computing and Dante audio networking.

Implemented and maintaining Scality distributed object store and Cassandra database clusters for next-generation hosted e-mail platform. Also doing things with KVM hypervisors, DNS, DHCP, monitoring, and a host of other random supporting systems.

Maintained Shadowfax, the institute's flagship cluster featuring several generations of compute nodes from different vendors, a QDR Infiniband interconnect, GPFS home and scratch filesystems, and Ethernet networking with connectivity to the rest of the Institute and campus via 1GbE and 10GbE links.

Babysat System X in its last few years. Maintained compute nodes, Torque and Moab deployments, and IB hardware. Deployed new load-balanced LDAP for research computing resources and migrated existing services into virtual environments.
