While my present position is with the Transitional Living program, I still carry cases and assist co-staff with In-Home Services. Responsible for providing young adults (17 - 24) leaving the foster care, juvenile justice, and mental health programs/facilities the intensive in-home support and guidance they need to make a successful transition to adulthood. Treatment focused on developing the necessary skills to maintain stable and suitable housing, remaining free from legal involvement, participating in an educational/vocational program, and developing the life skills necessary to become a successful, productive citizen. All treatment was client-centered and includes strength-based interventions such as: client therapy, mental health treatment for client, parenting skills education, crisis management, stress and anger management, substance rehabilitation, and psycho-educational interventions. Responsible for collaboration with other providers, case workers, schools, and courts to formulate a collaborative treatment plan.

Responsible for general and specific team development, planning, and task assigning to ensure positive team progress and performance. Provided on-call crisis management and intervention to mental health therapists and families (24/7) in an effort to provide support, clinical direction, and assistance. Conducted weekly review of clinical treatment plan development and safety plan implementation providing positive and constructive clinical feedback. Ensured staff documentation timeliness, quality in compliance with company standards and contractual obligations, and provided feedback and direction as needed. Provided effect training and implemented appropriate supervisory responsibilities to improve team cohesion and compliance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Conducted weekly and monthly employee performance appraisals providing feedback and conflict resolution as needed.

Responsible for providing Comprehensive Child and Family Treatment (CCFT) to at-risk youth and families. Treatment served children (infant to age 18) who were experiencing serious emotional and behavioral struggles. Specialized in diverting youth from out-of-home placements such as residential treatment facilities, foster homes, psychiatric residential treatment centers, hospitals, or group homes. All treatment was family-centered and includes strength-based interventions such as: family therapy, mental health treatment for caregivers, parenting skills education, crisis management, stress and anger management, substance rehabilitation, and psycho-educational interventions. Responsible for collaboration with other providers, case workers, schools, and courts to formulate a collaborative treatment plan. Appeared on behalf of the youth and family in court to present progress made throughout treatment period, establish state and court expectations for family and youth, and to witness of youth and family needs, struggles, and successes. Responsible for weekly treatment plans development targeting identified referral behaviors, youth and family strengths and needs, and youth safety. Educated family members concerning appropriate safety plans for home, schools, and community environments. Assisted in the training and development of new hires including primary employment interview and employee progress review.

Responsible for developing, organizing and executing group therapy for children and adolescents with a primary psychiatric diagnosis. Implemented specialized treatment plans for residents who have been dually-diagnosed with substance abuse and/or anger management deficiencies. Therapy based from specialized psycho-educational curriculum. Responsible for ensuring individual resident and group positive daily support, positive peer and staff interaction, and program adherence.

Responsible for actively participating in daily lab operation and research projects as well as perform research in the absence of the supervisor or Principle Investigator. Assisted the PI in planning, designing, developing, and implementing routine and highly complex research projects including defining data collection and evaluation as well as analyzing collected data. Specifically tasked with ensuring team adherence to accepted scientific protocols and PI project direction pertaining to data collection and reporting. Responsible for ensuring lab safety protocol adherence. Assisted, supported and trained laboratory research members. Effectively contributed to the overall research progress including assisting the PI in writing research findings.
