Land Intern
During my summer internship at Land, I played a pivotal role in sourcing acquisition targets within the Midland and Delaware Basins for company partners. My responsibilities included cold-calling over 50 mineral owners daily to discuss potential divestment opportunities. I supported the acquisition team by performing due diligence on royalty owner revenues and meticulously examined leases, assignments, purchase and sale agreements, deeds, and other crucial title documents. Additionally, I optimized and maintained the company’s database of mineral owners across the Greater Permian Basin and reviewed and reconciled joint interest billing and AFE statements against the company ledger. My role also involved analyzing financial and engineering data of key acquisition targets across multiple geologic basins. I collaborated with cross-functional teams of landmen, engineers, and finance professionals to advance company objectives and facilitated ownership transfers by coordinating deed recordings with county clerks and notifying respective operators. Furthermore, I developed expertise in Enverus products such as Prism and DrillingInfo, creating instructional videos to highlight their significance.
