Supervisor Of Student Teachers
*Be responsible for supervising student teachers for 1 semester •Meet with student teachers prior to the start of student teaching placements •Conduct classroom observations of pre-service teachers at least 2 times during eachplacement; discuss teaching with the student and provide a written assessment on studentperformance in each placement. •Maintain contact with student teachers, advise them, and encourage reflection so as tobest support their success in their student teaching placements •Provide written feedback on observations, reflections and lesson plans •Assess student performance and assign grades for student teaching •Communicate with cooperating teachers to maximize their experiences •Maintain contact with immediate supervisor Attend any trainings/meetings for University Supervisors •Organize, process, and/or submit paperwork associated with my supervisions (e.g. mileage, letters of recommendation) •Read University Student Teaching Handbook to become familiar with the educational philosophy and practices regarding teacher training
