I am a graduating software engineering student with experience in C#, VB.NET and Java. I mainly have experience with desktop apps but am eager to expand into other areas.I will graduate with a B.S. in Computer Science from Marshall University. I worked my way through school at the campus radio station. There I was the primary technician over the station’s studio complex. I was responsible for the computers, the network and all of the assorted studio equipment. While there was a professional IT and engineering staff, they had duties outside the station, so I was largely on my own. During my time at Marshall University, I completed several large and medium sized software projects. My junior project was to develop a web site for a summer camp. The site was to give information about the camp, allow individuals to submit applications, letters of recommendation and academic transcripts. This project was completed through the Vision and Scope, Use Case document, and SRS stages and a prototype of the initial camp application was developed. My senior project was another update to the program used by the campus radio station. The program was to be updated to Windows Forms, with vastly expanded scope and flexibility. It was also to be standalone (no Microsoft Word requirement). This project was completed through all design documentation and roughly half of the final program was functionally complete.Three smaller projects I completed as part of an advance topics class were two games: one in Lua / Love 2D, one in C# / XNA; and an Android app. The Love project was a playable partial clone of Galaga. The XNA project was a top-down puzzle / shooter game where the player had to adjust the game map and shoot off enemies while the computer automatically drove a tank across the map. The Android app was an “Ultimate” alarm clock, which would require the user to perform various tasks in order to shut off the alarm.Specialties: Languages: C# 3.0 and Visual Basic 8.0; Experience with Lua 5.1, Java 5.0, and SQLFrameworks: .NET 3.5; Experience with XNA 4.0, Love 2D 0.6.2, Android 2.2, and JDK
