As part of a team I'm delivering electric train training and assessment package for 319 trains ready for our original December dead line.2015 I delivered a section for training in Northern's two Engineering conferences.In 2015-2016 due to a large recruitment drive I planned and delivered numerous induction courses for the new recruits which included technical and mandatory training

As a Trainer assessor at Northern rail i write, plan and deliver technical, safety and rail mandatory courses( PTS,DP and Depot safety)As an assessor i plan Safety critical work assessments and deliver the assessments, as a Northern Occupational assessor i assess staff who are attending their A1 course but also assess other assessors to meet company and national standards.I sit on assessors meetings planning and reviewing new legislation.As part of a Training department i advise other departments on safety legislation and behavior, identifiying the bussinesses training needs also giving one to one meetings with staff who wish to progess.I plan and deliver working targets for our apprentices , Future Engineering Development Programme staff and new members of the engineering team so they can meet national and Northern rail standards.Another task i carry out on behalf of Northern rail is to audit vehicles after exams and spot inspections, writing reports to the Engineering Tecnical manager and others on my findings .Aside from my daily duties i am also engineering Learning Champion for Northern(West), making people aware of what Northern provide to develop and enhance skills and plotting personnel development with individuals.

As a technician/Team leader carried out all work activities that a major rail depot undertakes from exam work, repairs to heavy maintenance.I also attended failed units throughout the district west making them servicable, liasing with signallers and on some occasions Railtrack. In my role as Team leader i planned work loads and staff to meet the bussiness requirements managing staffs training requirements and requests. I over saw the project for modification work and C exam work meeting agreed deadlines for returning units to service.

I served my apprenticship with Blackpool Transport in the Bus division carrying out servicing, PSV exam work, repairs and heavey component changes. While i was in the department and studying for my HNC i lieased with the management over H&S issues while working on a project for collage.I spent time in the Tram division dealing with all aspects of tram maintenance which required various engineering skills. Within this department i also under took various plant work when required.
