Hey, I’m Michael Stephen, a talented electrical and controls systems engineer with a recently completed masters of engineering - industrial automation and certification of Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland - Electrical. With dual degrees in electrical engineering and business accounting, allowing me to leverage both technical and business management skills in a dynamic engineering environment. With over five years experience with Glencore Mount Isa Mines I have gained vast experience in metalliferous processing, providing technical support to electrical maintenance teams, designing low voltage distribution systems, amongst many other projects. I have heavily involved myself with a commitment to safety and compliance within the electrical systems to ensure efficient operation of the plants. While more recently taking a turn to asset management to review major electrical infrastructure and provide gap analysis of the systems.With nearly two years of hands-on experience guiding high-value building management systems for commercial, industrial, and medical facilities to great success, I feel confident in my ability to tackle new roles where I can display my talent for project planning, scheduling, cross-functional collaboration, risk assessment and mitigation, design and specification review, and guiding various other aspects for a successful electrical project delivery.Needless to say, I’m committed to upholding OH&S standards, as well as ensuring all projects comply with contractual agreements, proceed as per schedule, and completed within budget.
