Overview: Michael joined the Sweeney Team in 2001 and began his career with the field team as an interviewer, team leader & supervisor. Michael was involved in the establishment of SearchLight – Sweeney’s field and operations division. He was appointed Field Manager in 2008.Qualifications and Skills: Michael holds a degree in Exercise Science with a Minor in Psychology. He specialises in coaching and staff development and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the SearchLight field teams, collectively consisting of up to 300 staff across Australia.Experience: Michael oversees all research projects involving CATI and face-to-face fieldwork. He has managed many studies for major clients including Sydney Airport, Public Transport Victoria, City of Melbourne, and Department of Business & Innovation (VIC). In addition, Searchlight conducts a large number of intercept interviews on behalf of Sydney Airport on an ongoing basis, which is managed by Michael and his team. Current Role: Michael has responsibility for the management of all teams involved in the field execution aspects of projects including, business interviewing team, consumer interviewing team, central location interviewing teams, the data entry and coding team.
