Lead team of food safety, regulatory, quality and engineering professionals that has responsibility for over 1.5K locations in 35 countries. Management of corporate food safety and quality programs, covering FDA and Codex requirements as well as regulatory needs from raw materials to finished goods and Limited Time Offer (LTO) products. Lead innovation for new product lines and launches, along with Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) supply chain functions for contract manufacturers and green/brown field start up manufacturing. Develops continuous improvement plans to improve margin and/or offset industry pressures. ▪ Established Krispy Kreme’s food safety and quality programs that include training, recognition, and auditing/metric programs to drive consistency, reliability, and continuous improvement. Recall effectiveness increased from over 24 hours to less than four hours for full traceability. Krispy Kreme has had NO recalls in the past four years. DOH and FDA incidents/483 write ups netted zero for the past two years. Consumer complaints continue to show a massive drop, now tracking at five parts per million vs. over 800.▪ “Stood up” two contract manufacturing sites and converted one company owned site to deliver a new CPG line of products into Wal-Mart. Lead formulation, process, packaging, automation, and overall cost model build to successfully launch on time within nine months of idea to on-shelf. Business to date is $26M in sales.▪ Successfully implemented process improvements and formulation efficiencies in Krispy Kreme commissaries and dry powder mix facility to deliver more than $1.0M cost savings. Carry over to international markets, netted savings of $1.0M. Glaze improvements have made Krispy Kreme’s “Delivered Fresh Daily,” program a reality.
