I have responsibility for and experience in the development of vocational education and training policy for industry across a wide spectrum of areas. I have developed policy advice in a range of settings for areas such as apprenticeships, youth transition, skilling the existing workforce and a range of issues concerning the interface of industry with the national VET sector.In addition I have managed a number of national projects including:- Strengthening School - Industry STEM Skills Partnerships (current)- Building Employer Commitment to Workplace Literacy- School - Industry Numeracy Project- Stocktake of School Manufacturing Programs & Pathways in Victoria- the Corporate Champions project to engage mature age workers in the workforce- the development and implementation of e-learning strategies for SMEs in manufacturing - the National Workforce Literacy Project- the Skilling the Existing Workforce Project- World Class Skills for World Class Industries.I have participated in a wide range of industry consultations, presentations and the development, analysis and reporting of industry surveys.

Consultant for a wide range of vocational education and training projects for a diverse range of clients including the Commonwealth Government, the National Quality Council, the Australian Industry Group, the Australian Mining Council, the Australian Qualifications Framework Advisory Board, the Australian Council for Private Education and Training, the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, the Victorian Skills Commission, the Victorian Qualifications Authority, the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority, Group Training Australia, Youth Advisory Council of Victoria, Vic Health as well as a number of RTOs and other local VET stakeholders.

Responsible for the management of a number of projects associated with VET in Schools and youth transition including:- evaluation of quality of VET in Schools- development of national funding policy and guidelines for VET in Schools- scored assessment of VET in Schools- evaluation of VET in Schools impact on Indigenous students and those with a disability- national evaluation of School-based Apprenticeships- recognition of skills acquired in youth development programsinvestigation of Pathways to Training Packages

Management of a number of Commonwealth & State vocational education programs including:- The Quality of Teaching Program- The School to Work Program- Regional Development through School Industry Partnerships Project- National Professional Development Program (vocational education)- Key Competencies Project- Local Industry Education network ProjectMember of Ministerial Council Taskforce on Transition from School and VET in Schools Taskforce and author of Council's Policy Directions and Implementation of Vocational Education in Schools.
