I am headteacher at East Preston Junior School in West Sussex. Having trained as a middle-years teacher, I previously taught in middle and primary schools in Sussex and Nottinghamshire, including roles as a deputy, subject leader and Head of Year. My area of expertise is in curriculum and assessment in primary schools. I have previously written a weekly column for the TES, and agreed as an advisor on assessment to the publisher Rising Stars, and as a member of the NAHT's Assessment Review Group and the DfE's Teacher Reference Group
