Duties: Correctional officer at lockup treatment facility helping at-risk youth, specifically juvenile sex offenders. Assist with the security and well being of the juvenile offenders mainly consisting of sexually abusive males age range 14-18, who have behavioral and mental health issues. Prevention and de-escalation of physical altercations between offenders. Overnight supervision, behavioral supervision, schoolwork assistance, grief and guilt counseling, weekly group progress sessions.
