Joined YKE in October 2017 as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer and QC/QA Peer Reviewer, after 25 years of public service at HDOT leaving the agency as Head of its Highways Division, Oahu District Construction Sections. Prior to joining HDOT at 1992 to work on the Interstate H-3 freeway construction, worked at Geolabs Inc. (formerly Geolabs Hawaii) as a Staff and then Project Geotechnical Engineer and eventually its Geotechnical Engineering Manager in 1991.

Joined HDOT in 1992 as a Resident Engineer completing the $104 million Interstate H-3 Windward Viaduct construction awarded National Project of the Year by ASCE; moved up to Area C Engineer in 1994 supervising all State highway construction contracts in Windward Oahu; headed the newly formed Rural Construction Section in 1999 overseeing State highway construction in 3/4 of the island; and assigned Head of both Rural and Urban Construction Sections in 2017 overseeing all State highway construction on Oahu.

Joined Geolabs in 1985 after graduation from UC Berkeley as a Staff Geotechnical Engineer; moved up the ranks to Project Engineer and eventually the Engineering Manager of its Geotechnical Engineering Department in 1991.
