• Performed a new sheet coating process using a Coatema Smartcoater with 9 adjustable parameters inside an ISO class 8 clean room• Designed experiments to determine which factors were most significant using Minitab 17• Developed, wrote and optimized a coating procedure that eliminated 95% of initial defects• Tested and helped validate new equipment added to the clean room• Measured over 1000 physical characteristics on the silicone sheeting including shear strength, hardness, viscosity and thickness• Created prototypes to send to clients to evaluate the efficiency of the newly developed process
