Responsible for the daily uptime of a 1 EH/s Bitcoin mining farm. Asset management of 10,000+ miners as well as deployment of new mining hardware and network equipment. Research and test aftermarket firmware to unlock advanced miner features like overclocking. Develop and test software to manage mining environments and hardware. Data collection and analysis of miners, mining environments and network logs to facilitate uptime and reporting. Troubleshooting and repair of mining hardware including circuit board repairs.

Responsible for the management and maintenance of IT systems for the Casino, Racetrack and Business Office. Ensure daily/weekly/monthly backups of all critical systems to ensure business continuity. Maintain HP Blade Servers, SAN hardware and VMware virtual environment. Obtained New York State Gaming Commission licensing in order to install and maintain player rewards and networking equipment inside video gaming machines. Install, configure and maintain wired and wireless networking equipment to provide business, casino and guest networks. Maintain all software systems including cash advance and check cashing, player tracking and rewards, and POS systems.

• Provides critical insight and input into the strategic direction of the Agency’s use of information technology and maintains awareness of changing trends and regulations.• Researches and oversees the implementation of technology related initiatives for the Agency.• Setup and maintenance of all information technology systems including: preventative maintenance; hardware and software installation and upgrades; and troubleshooting.• Scope of support includes: personal computers, servers, phone system and voice mail, software, networks, external communications, and databases.• Responsible for the following critical information technology processes: system availability (uptime); system backups; communications; user training; purchasing of hardware, software and user training materials; and Information Technology policies and procedures. • Develops and monitors the Agency Information Technology budget.• Serves as HIPAA Security Officer.
