I provide support for the Berkeley Lab's Export Compliance Office, which includes (and is not limited to) reviewing all international shipments, screening software disclosures, and examining sponsored research proposals, to ensure the Berkeley Lab remains in compliance with US export control laws and in exercising our fundamental research exclusion privileges.Berkeley Lab was founded by Ernest Orlando Lawrence, a UC Berkeley physicist who won the 1939 Nobel Prize in physics for his invention of the cyclotron, a circular particle accelerator that opened the door to high-energy physics.
