As a software engineer at loanDepot I've done everything from building test scripts with AutoIt to participating in teams to build entire new systems. Recently I've participated in building microservices with a team that piloted our first true agile group as we move away from the waterfall method. The new system involved building new microservices, modifying existing systems and making extensive changes to our existing systems. As a big believer in team work and never letting the team down I have built specific test tools for my QA teammates to help simplify testing and to increase the accuracy of testing through the use of simple test automation using AutoIT as well as writing tools in C# so the QA team can minimize the writing of more complex SQL scripts. As a tester I was the lead tester for the retail mortgage business using Empower. Took charge of the QA team of 6 employees and 14 contractors when the manager is out or unavailable, including taking charge of large QA projects such as the upgrade of Empower service packs. Created overall testing strategies and ensured that deadlines were met on large qa projects. Leader of the team that tested Empower to facilitate the merger of iMortgage into the LoanDepot system. Tracked the progress of testing on various projects and reported that progress to the department leadership. Trained other team members to hand off the maintenance of iMortgage after the merger was complete. Trained contractors on the use of Empower as well as all the software that was custom created for Empower. Enforced QA processes through many small and large projects.

Worked on the companies title generation program. Responsible for one large area of the product that involved both web and desktop programs. Lead a team of 2 people and trained new testers on QA process, bug writing and test planning. Responsible for the functionality of multiple clients. The environment was a .NET environment and web based as well as desktop based. Created test plans and test cases to assist the trainers learn the new functionality. Worked in a SCRUM development environment.

Worked on Empower software and various products that enhanced the companies position in the mortgage industry. Worked both alone and as part of a small QA team. Trained lower level QA engineers to take over on going projects. Was the lead qa of various projects, responsible for writing test plans and to estimate the time and scope of a project. Used Test Director to write bugs.

Aliso Viejo, Ca

Tested the company’s two real time data analysis products. Wrote bugs using both Bugzilla and Starteam. Migrated the Bugzilla database to Starteam when it was decided to switch. Wrote test plans and test checklists for both products. Fully responsible for the production of customer machines, including inventory and build process. Responsible for first line customer support. Gained experience with MySQL and Linux. Fully responsible for the maintenance of the QA lab and assisted in building the lab which consisted of 7 Linux machines and 3 Windows machines.

Assisted and advised other team members in all areas of software software testing. Assisted in the deployment of releases. Had the responsibility of coordinating, training and supervising the custom website QA group as well as interfacing with the Consulting Engineering group, who were basically the project managers of the custom websites.
